Updated: Now with video trailer embedded below! Harmonix have just announced the next instalment in the Rock Band Series will be released worldwide on June the 8th. This time around the focus is on Green Day. The game will be released on the 360, Wii and PS3 and supports up to 6 people total, 3 on the Mics and 3 playing instruments. The game will feature a massive 47 green day tracks in total including "Brain Stew," "Jaded," "Hitchin' a Ride," "American Idiot," "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." All 47 songs will be exportable to the hard drive to play in Rock Band 2, for a price of course.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 due for release on July 9th is set to become the first of the series to feature another golfer on the cover alongside Tiger.  The lucky man in question is Irish golfer Rory McIlroy.  In another first for the game the Ryder Cup will be feature in PGA11 too allowing you to play as the European's or Americans and face off against each other, Tiger will represent the US and McIlroy the Europeans.  The game is coming out on the Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation and even the iPhone!  Check out the press release below for more info. The MGS series has been some of the most enthralling games over the last 20 years, and if you've played them all from the PS1 to the PS3, then your clearly a big fan. I find people either love 'em or hate 'em, there is no in between with Metal Gear. This really comes down to the extremely in depth story lines, and the lengths Hideo Kojima goes to portray character emotions. From start to finish, it could probably take you 30 hours to finish a MGS game, and the reason for that is the sheer volume of cut scenes! you dont so much play MGS, but play in between the cut scenes!. I myself loved them all, , and if you've tried MGS4, you'll know that it's possibly the best looking game on any console. The Playstation twitter account just tweeted this link to a video showcasing some of the games that will be available for the "Move". It looks pretty cool and some of the games look like great craic. You got your shooter games, a Archery game in which the arrow fly’s Kevin Costner style towards the target, no news yet on maid Marion blowing slightly on your hand as you release the bow. There are a few sports games thrown in there too. Take a look below and let us know what you think. I’m hoping they release a new Time Crisis game using it, I loved the old arcade version of that.

The upcoming game based on the popular (at least in season 1) TV series has been dated and the wait is not long at all!  The game will be released on the 30th of March, not much info on the game has been released up until now, but I guess it was always pretty obvious you were going to be trying to escape from a prison!  The graphics look pretty good actually, there is no doubting the faces of the characters are all spot on, all that remains to be seen is how good the game play is.  You take on the role of  Tom Paxton as “the Company” sends you behind bars to infiltrate Fox River Penitentiary and find out why the two brothers from the TV show managed to get locked up together.  Check out a few screens below.

Activision has announced the name of the upcoming map pack for the extremely popular online side of Modern Warefare 2. The DLC is named the "Stimulus pack". To celebrate the release of the maps Xbox live Silver account holders will be getting an added treat, you will be able to play Modern Warfare 2 online between the 12th and 15th of March. The new Maps will be released on the 30th of March too. Earlier in the week it was also announced that Modern Warfare 2 has been played online by a massive 25 million people! If half them buy the map pack Activision will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Sony has announced the name of the new Motion Controller, previously known as "Arc".  It’s going to be called the Playstation "Move" Controller.  Along with the main controller you will also get the Move sub-controller for intuitive navigation of in-game characters and objects.  Combined with the Eye camera and a strong range of titles coming out, it’s going to be a good year for PS3 gamers.  There is a whole bunch of developers already creating games including Activision, Capcom and Konami so we are sure to get some great titles on release.  The Move is due out fall 2010 and has yet to be priced.  There is a lot more detail in the full press release below, so go ahead and check it out! Battlestar Galactica Is there a single person out there that doesn’t want to see a proper game based on this franchise?  Who do I have to kill to get this done?  If you haven’t watched Battlestar Galactica yet, then get of the internet and buy the series on DVD now.  Who doesn’t want to fly around in a viper blasting cylons? Running around the Galactica.. Blasting cylons?  Exploring the twelve colonies.. Blasting cylon’s.  It’s a no brainer, everyone loves blasting cylons, am I right! I know we have already seen a PS2 and Original Xbox game, as well as an Xbox live arcade one too, but it’s not the same! Believe it or not Brian Singer is apparently making a “Re-Imagining” movie of this right now, I mean come on, the show is only just over and it was pure quality and you stick the guy who ruined Superman on it? The daddy of all online shooters is getting a welcome injection of life, in the form of new maps. Infinity Ward have confirmed that the new map pack will land 30th March on Xboxlive!. Its good news indeed because things have felt a little too samey as of late, so new maps to play on are just what the doctor ordered. You may be aware that leaked pictures of the incoming "stimulus pack" were on the internet for a couple of hours before IW slapped the ban hammer down. What we did see was 5 maps, a mix of old and new. I expect there will be re-mastered favorites from COD4 with new lighting!...how original.. and of course a couple of new maps. There is no confirmation on the pack for PC and PS3, but were told that XBL has a 30 day head start for whatever reason. start saving your pennies for March 30th.

The news i've been waiting for, a decent Battlestar game!. now i wasn't around to appreciate the original series on first viewing obviously, and never really got into it on re-runs either, but when the re-imagined version came out i was sucked into the whole universe. I still think that it was probably the best Sci-fi show in the last ten years. So i'm pretty excited about the new BSG game being released by Bigpoint. Its a browser based game, and will hit this "Fall".
