It looks like there will be new DLC for Assassin’s Creed III this week in the form of “The Battle Hardened Pack.” This pack will introduce three new characters and three new maps for the game's multiplayer modes; Three New Characters The influential Governor The resilient Highlander The fearsome Coyote Man Three New Maps (for use in standard MP and Wolfpack modes) The lush, tropical environment of Saint Pierre The moody, atmospheric stronghold of Fort St-Mathieu The embattled, enflamed Boston neighbourhood of Charlestown This DLC pack will be out tomorrow for PS3 and XBLA for 800 points and will of course be free for Season Pass holders. Activision have announced that the DLC pack for THPS-HD, entitled Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 HD Revert Pack, will be released worldwide on December 4th for XBLA, PSN and Steam. “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 HD Revert Pack expands on the game’s winning formula with the inclusion of three levels from the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 (Airport, Los Angeles, and Canada). Skateboarding legends Steve Caballero and Geoff Rowley make their return to the world of Tony Hawk games and James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo from Metallica make a surprise appearance as playable characters. Sega have just released a new trailer for Colonial Marines which lands February of next year. The trailer showcases their new mode of play called "Survival", in which 4 players take attempt to hold down the fort in the same vein as Horde mode from Gears. We all know how great the Aliens franchise is, but we also know that its license hasn't been utilized properly since Alien Trilogy on the PS1. After 6 years waiting, Team IO have finally got off their collective asses and gave the fans what they wanted!... another agent 47 masterpiece. Hitman Absolution promises to be another engaging game of cat and mouse, before the inevitable cheese grater is wrapped around some poor suckers throat. Heard of “Gangnam Style?” Does it ring a bell at all? Today, Ubisoft announced that "Gangnam Style,” by South Korean rapper Psy, is available as DLC for Just Dance 4 for Kinect for Xbox 360 and starting November 21st for the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation Move. It will be also available for the Wii U at a later date. With over 770 million views since its July debut, the Gangnam Style music video shot into YouTube’s list of top ten most-viewed and has become a worldwide hit with politicians, athletes, celebrities and fans joining in and dancing along to the iconic dance moves. The dance even made its way into “Strictly Come Dancing” with Bruce Forsyth this past Saturday. The routine in the DLC track features the authentic Psy’s dance moves from the wildly popular Gangnam Style music video and in available via in-game menus.

Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Far Cry 3’s multiplayer mode, carefully designed to take the gaming experience to insane and deadly extremes. From Barrel Bombs to Psyche Gas and Battlecry: all is good to smash your opponent. The video below features Far Cry 3 unique multiplayer games modes: Firestorm and Transmission, focused on team play and survival of the maddest... We’re addicted to the Assassin’s Creed multiplayer so we’re hoping that lightening will strike twice for Ubisoft with this one. Far Cry 3 will be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on Friday 30th November 2012.

An Australian Man, Okan Kaya, has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest gaming marathon by playing Call of Duty: Black Ops II for an incredible 135 hours straight, smashing the previous world record of 120 hours (held by two Canadians). Check the picture below for the tool taken on his body: While this seems like a Herculean challenge, Guinness World Record adjudicators did allow him a break of 10 minutes for every hour of gameplay, which he was allowed to stockpile and then use as sleep time. Okan’s effort was supported by his bosses at 4cabling.com.au who allowed him to set up the console in their offices for the duration of the event. A local news station covered the event but really they shouldn’t have bothered. The Newscaster has obvious distain for the challenge and belittles what we can see is quite the achievement.
