Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead, the graphic novel that was made into a TV series, has now been made into a video game and is released today. Check out the launch trailer below:
The game follows the story of new character Lee Everett however promotional art and the above trailer have indicated that at least two characters original comicbook characters, Glenn & Hershel, will make appearances throughout the game as well. Going by the above trailer Hershel appears to be based more on his comic roots and not his television appearance.
We haven’t had a chance to play this yet but early reviews indicate that this game has branching path options and with genuine consequences from the decisions made, including what survivors to save and let die.
The Walking Dead will be made available as 5 episodes which can be purchased as they are released each month. Each episode is €5 on PSN or a season pass can be purchased for €20. XBLA users can get each episode for 400 points each and the availability and price of a season pass has not yet been confirmed.
