Time to finish this up, even though its built a while now, its taken me ages to get around to posting this. The final things left to do are install the marquee light, marquee itself and the front screen and bezel.
First up, I cut out some plexi glass to the width of the cab, two pieces the same size to sandwich the Arcade artwork in between them.
Next I screwed in the LED lights I bought to the panel of wood I left in the top part of the cab. Once screwed in evenly I wired up the cable to the power-supply off the floppy drive on the PC which I’m not using anyways, so when the cab is powered on the light will come on.
Next up I screwed in the two marquee retainers i bought and cut to size, to hold in the plex glass and artwork.
Finally I cut out some plexi glass again to cover the front area where the screen is. Id like to get Glass for this eventually and a proper bezel but it will do for now. I made the bezel myself, again cutting to size from a sheet of black card.
I just slipped the card bezel in behind the plexi and that was that. It took me over a year from start to finish to build this but the Journey is finally complete! I learned a lot doing it. If anyone of you out there have any questions you would like to ask if you are building your own cab feel free to get in touch!
